Hi sally

I have a stash of this in my fridge ready to use but I have got the willies and not had it. Plus. the endocrine team want me more settled with addisons etc before I go on it.

How are you tollerating it?

I know they give a loaded dose to start with- are you managing with this?

It says it doesnt sting- is that true?

Do you feel any better already?

Sorry! So many questions!

Jenni xx

I just had my first 2 injections of Cimzia on Monday.

The only feeling I have had is one of extreme tiredness, especially in the morning. Tuesday, I felt like sludge all day, today I felt better around lunchtime so I think its just a question of my body adapting to the drug. I think that is to be expected. I haven't had anti-TNF medication before and it is a double dose for the first 3 times. Nothing else to report, but its only been 2 days!!

Yes, it does sting but not much. I did not have any reaction at the injection site though, which is good. I was dreading having this as I really thought that I would not be able to inject myself (too much of a coward) and was wishing I had chosen one with a pen. I am OK with needles as long as I look away! But it was fine, much better than I thought it would be and I am quite happy to continue using the syringe even if they bring out a pen. Not looking forward to next time when I have to inject into my thighs though.

The syringe is really easy to use. My hands are pretty useless when it comes to dexterity but I managed easily. I don't think I could manage with an ordinary syringe.
